Junior Business Analyst

We are looking for a smart and dynamic individual to coordinate across teams and act as a bridge between business and technical development teams. The ideal candidate will support the analysis, documentation, and delivery of business requirements and solutions.

Responsibilities

  1. The main tasks for a business analyst will include performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, and performing some user acceptance testing.
  2. To succeed in this role you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.
  3. Work with stakeholders across the business to ensure that user stories are clearly defined, delivered and approved for deployment.
  4. Translate business requirements into detailed system requirements and technical design specifications.
  5. Investigate, model, define and document required business processes.
  6. Carry out requirements analysis for change requests including requirements gathering to understand project objectives and scope.
  7. To work with other business analysts and members of technical team to develop realistic solutions to business requirements, taking into account budgets, timescales and costs.
  8. Perform research and analysis in support of operations.
  9. Assist in resolving business issues using systems and data.
  10. Estimate the costs and benefits of multiple actions and/or solutions and provide recommendations.
  11. Participate in sprint planning where applicable.

Qualification & Skills

Mandatory

  1. Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
  2. Minimum 1 year of experience as BA in IT sector.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – able to liaise with staff at all levels in the organization.
  4. Enthusiastic and motivated personality.
  5. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  6. Strong customer service orientation.
  7. Ability to work on own initiative within agreed boundaries.
  8. Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.
  9. Be flexible and adaptable, able to work on multiple projects at any one time.

Good to Have

  1. Proven analytical, mathematical, communication, and creative problem-solving skills.
  2. Ability to deal with varied and difficult personalities while maintaining an even temperament.
  3. Experience using agile project management tools and working within Scrum or other agile teams.
  4. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
