Junior Quality Analyst

We are looking for a results-driven software tester to be responsible for designing and running tests on software usability. The software tester will conduct tests, analyze the results, and report observations to the design team. You may also interact with clients in order to understand the requirements of the product.
To be successful as a software tester, you should have a working knowledge of software and test design, the capability to run through tests, and the ability to analyze the results. Ultimately, the software tester should be result-driven, have good communication skills, and up-to-date knowledge of software programming and software test design.

Responsibilities

  1. Review and analyze system specifications.
  2. Create tests to identify software problems.
  3. Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results.
  4. Create logs to document testing phases and defects.
  5. Report bugs and errors to development teams.
  6. Help troubleshoot issues.
  7. Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing.
  8. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
  9. Recommend improvements in software to enhance user experience.
  10. Motivate the development process for efficiency and performance.
  11. Research and compare similar competitor products.
  12. Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends and advancements.

Qualification & Skills

Mandatory

  1. Proven 1 year of experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role.
  2. Working knowledge of test techniques and compatibility with various software programs.
  3. Up-to-date knowledge of software test design and testing methodologies.
  4. Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus.
  5. High proficiency in computer technology and programming languages.
  6. Strong knowledge of Linux and Microsoft Windows.
  7. Exceptional attention to detail.
  8. Great team player and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
  9. Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.
  10. Proven record in creating user stories in software development.
  11. Understanding of softwares development life cycle.

  1. Proven analytical, mathematical, communication, and creative problem solving skills.
  2. Good oral and written communication skills.
  3. Experience of working in a technology-focused company.
  4. Experience using agile project management tools and working within Scrum or other agile teams.
  5. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure Tools.
  6. Testing tools: Selenium or similar tools.
  7. Project management tools: Jira, Confluence, Git, etc. 
  8. ISTQB Certification.
